Planning consent for this magnificent environmentally friendly new home had been obtained by London architects but due to problems of cost, Oakbridge Homes were approached to re-engineer the proposed structure and rationalize the interior layout working within the client’s budget.
The stunning design incorporates a bedroom wing that fully cantilevers 4 metres without support which represented a major challenge to Oakbridge engineers.
The low energy home incorporates a ground source heat pump, solar panels and rain water storage and has substantial lower ground floor leisure facilities.
Work on the property is due to be complete in January 2010.
